Infographics & Data visualisation

Information graphics or infographics are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge. This form of data visualisation allows for complex information to be presented clearly and quickly.

Data visualisation is the study of the visual representation of data meaning “information that has been abstracted in some schematic form, including attributes or variables for the units of information”.

Infographics are an excellent way to display information and visualise data, statistics and figures, and with the information that I will be wanting to show, this is a perfect way to make the information presentable and easily understandable. I’m going to look at a range of infographics and data visualisation techniques to see what the possibilities are, and what options I will decide to choose to present my work.
